Meltemi Sessions

Inspired by the seasonal winds that shape life across the Aegean, Meltemi is Kalesma’s weekly sunset gathering — a contemporary expression of one of Greece’s oldest traditions: coming together.
Each Saturday throughout the summer, guests gather overlooking Delos as food, music and conversation unfold beneath the changing light. There is no performance to follow and no fixed programme to observe. The evening evolves naturally, guided by the people around the table and the atmosphere of the moment.
A MODERN ISLAND RITUAL
Long before Mykonos became known for its nightlife, summer evenings revolved around simpler pleasures. Families and friends gathered outdoors to share food, stories and music beneath the open sky. The gathering itself was the occasion.
Meltemi draws from this spirit of togetherness, reinterpreting it through a contemporary lens. Seasonal dishes, carefully curated soundscapes and unexpected moments create an experience that feels both familiar and new.
What emerges is not an event, but a ritual — one that returns each week and changes with every gathering.
AT THE HEART OF PERE UBU
The experience unfolds at Pere Ubu, where panoramic views towards Delos provide a backdrop to the evening.
As the sun begins to set, the energy shifts gently. Tables fill. Music drifts through the village. Familiar melodies are revisited through contemporary interpretations while spontaneous moments of movement and celebration appear throughout the space.
Dinner slowly gives way to something less defined and more memorable.
A KALESMA SIGNATURE
No two Meltemi evenings are ever alike.
Different guests, different conversations and different rhythms shape each gathering. Yet the essence remains unchanged: a celebration of summer, music, dining and the timeless pleasure of being together beneath the Mykonian sky.
A gathering shaped by season.
A ritual shaped by people.
A summer tradition, reimagined.
